Taking a ballerina to her first parkrun - Basingstoke

Показать описание
I took a ballerina to her first parkrun, at Basingstoke, to try for a 5K pb.
It is often worth getting out of your comfort zone, as you never know, what can happen.
Thank you to Basingstoke parkrun for putting on a great event.

Not surprised she did so well, honestly - huge respect for the strength and endurance of a professional ballet dancer, not to mention the coordination and body awareness. And let's be real, she's got a lot left in reserve here.

2 years on from watching this video I am now 25.50
I commented 2 years ago saying my pb was 31 minutes ❤️💪

Amazing 1st parkrun. My first park run I was horribly out of shape and ran a 30:37 and even now as I am in reasonably good condition at 65 years old my best 5k was last year @ 24:44. She looked reasonably comfortable running a 24:04 and I was a wreck @ 24:44. I hope she continues her running.

Damn that was really good! Congrats. Now the question is, 'can the runner do ballet?' As always great video. Now about them t-shirts...

This coming Saturday I will be accompanying a work colleague on her first parkrun. I don’t think we’ll be running anywhere near as fast as you and Emma, but I’m hoping she will enjoy the experience like Emma appeared to.

Superb buddy.

Now, how about the runner becoming the ballerina? A very impressive time for a first timer versus an ‘old timer’. Great video!

She obviously has massive leg strength from dancing but, still that is an awesome time for a first 5km! She would improve fast once she puts in the miles at low pace and gets those running muscles attuned.

Emma is certainly a beautiful mover. Hadn't really though of parkrunning as art before.

This is my first watch of a Jog On video having seen someone in one of the orange tops today at Basingstoke parkrun. The music and style is oddly intense for the chilled parkrun hobby, but interesting. I'll watch some more of these vids and see if this is the usual style
