THE LAYERING IS KEY! I prefer to make more of a custard than roux but the layers and freshly grated cheese is where it’s at. Also, boil noods in chicken stock

Looks good! Just please be careful not to use metal on a nonstick. It creates scratches in the pot that release chemicals in your food.

Remember to cook out the flour so it’s not gritty and flour tasting, one mistake I made was letting the roux not cook out the flour butter mixture enough (not too long either or they’ll be hard clumps).. looks delicious though, I first made some for thanksgiving and people really liked it, super cheesy and delicious.🙏🏼❤️

I made this mac n cheese this year too and it was soo good! Please make sure you stir in the flour on medium heat tho bc I didn’t and I burned mine a little and when you add the cheese make sure it’s on low heat and I like to add a little whole milk on that step too so the cheese melts easier!
