You have to understand Hashirama was so done with this fighting. His younger brother was just seven years old (a literal baby) and I'm assuming that Hashirama was around 11-13 here. When his father punched Hashirama in the face because Hashirama said that they were just sacrificing children Hasiramas father took that as a direct insult over Kawaramas death because he felt that Hashirama was basically saying we sacrificed my younger brother for a worthless cause.
