Hope you're not too busy to watch this lesson. Because it's all about building your vocabulary and improving your fluency. Using the same phrases over and over again is rather boring. So I'm going to tell you different and useful ways to tell someone that you're busy.

2) My schedule is full.
3) I've got too much going on.
4) I've got a lot to do.
5) I've got a lot on my plate.
6) I'm busy as a bee.
7) I'm tied up right now.
8) I'm swamped.
9) I'm overwhelmed.
10) I'm buried in work.
11) I'm knee-deep in (something).
12) I'm up to my ears in (something).

The word *preoccupied* called my attention because it is similar to the adjective in Spanish *preocupado* that means being worry about something or thinking about something important that isn't going well. It's like busy, but just in the mind.

I knee deep learning English with you. Sometimes I can be swamped with work but I have always time to watch your fabulous videos, for example right now I'm very preoccupied. However, these tips are really convenient and suitable for me that I don't want to make up excuses saying that I am buried with so many things.

Thanks for sharing this! It’s very helpful, honestly i didn’t know that there are so many ways to say “i am busy”. After watching this i might try to use one of them starting from now on instead of saying “i am busy”
But i’d love to know which one is polite and which one is not? Considering i am working in a Hospitality industry
