Engaging a reluctant client in EMDR Therapy needs to be done if target memories are to be reprocessed. Sometimes the reluctance arises from denial anything is wrong. Alternatively it may be because of a secondary gain or loss. Join Dr Michael Paterson OBE, EMDR Europe Accredited Senior Trainer, as he guides you on how to handle this situation.

Can you show me more about how to integrate alters when a client is dealing with dissociation? Please.

How does EMDR work on the autonomic nervous system? How does it assist the body to become more regulated? Since, I'd disassociated much of my emotions?

My trauma was so severe since, i wasn't allowed to feel any feeling. A term called alexthymia. So, how to i get into a memory, when i was allowed to ever express my feelings as a child? That's why i believe EMDR might work for some, but not others.
