Turn on YouTube shorts monetization like this

The day has arrived! As long as you’re in the YouTube partner program you can now monetize shorts! But, if you’re a creator who does it all on your phone you won’t see the option in the apps but this video will show you how to turn it on.

LETS GOOOO had my first short to reach 600k views last month!!! Got like $2 so hopefully the new formula is better! Since I have ADHD, and lots of anxiety, that makes it take months to put out a single regular video, this is a really good opportunity for me and I’m glad it’s happening. Now I can make shorts.

I noticed yesterday that if you made any shorts before Feb 1st (which would be everyone with 10million+ views) then YT didn't automatically set monetization to On. I spent over an hour yesterday tediously clicking that and attesting to non-controversial material and then submitting on over 100 shorts. Might want to get on that one so you don't leave a bunch of money on the table. Just sayin'.

UPDATE. Spoke to Creator support, and it took 24 hours for the Shorts to show as Monetized . It was because my channel had only just been monetized ☺️👌🏻

Hey, thanks for the video, , like myself and many others, we are looking for a way to turn on Monetization for older shorts that were uploaded before monetization, as by default these are all set to 'Off' and cannot be changed. Only New Shorts are Monetized. Does anyone in the world know how to turn on Monetization for older shorts? please

i just got monetized today but i cant monetize any of my youtube shorts? It doesnt even give me a turn on option for them? is it because of the copyright music do i need to dispute that?
