I once heard of a group of friends from NYC who went to a mall to take advantage of a sale, and parked in the handicap space. Justified it to themselves bc they would not be long.

Apparently someone disabled came to park, had to park far away bc that spot was taken, then their wheelchair battery died and (somehow) that caused them injury!
The 4 friends came back to the scene, with an angry mob still there they pretended it wasn't their car and walked away. Came back later, car was beaten and vandalized, destroyed. Lesson learned, one hopes.

I worked in a shipyard, each shop had their own "shop" vehicle. This one shop of people always would park on the crane track. So, one day, this vehicle disappeared, offending shop could not find their truck. The crane operators had lifted it up and put it on a shelf rack, way up on top shelf. It was there a week before offending shop foreman saw it. This is a heavy duty shelf rack for really heavy ship equipment outside. Offending shop was fortunate the crane operators just didn't run it over like usual. Foreman was a butt and never gave a poop about how his workers parked. He does now, that shop lost vehicle privileges for a year.
