For the last few months I've been experiencing a misfire in my Land Rover Discovery. So for the last few weeks I have collected all the parts to treat place the ignition system. While I'm at it, I might as well replace the leaking valve cover gaskets as well.

Let's see if Land Rovers are actually hard to work on!

Great vid!
In 2020 during COVID, I completed a top end rebuild on my 2001 Disco 2 Thor V8 with SAI and 92K miles on her. I took me about a week to complete as I wanted to go slow without screwing up anything. I replaced the gaskets, both coil packs, all 8 Bosch injectors, spark plugs (NGK FTW!), Taylor 409 spark plug leads, new oil and filter, cleaned out the IAC valve and throttle body, added a longer 10AWG grounding cable between the engine and firewall, and replaced the troublesome metal rear SAI tubing with a 3/4" ID HPS silicone hose.
After completion, I then reset the adaptive values on my ECU with my Nanocom. Runs superbly ever since.
Cheers from a Yank in England!

Great Video! Do the spark pack relocation and save yourself some headaches in the future. You can put it (the spark pack) in the center of the upper intake manifold, or you can buy a kit online and move it to the battery side of the Alternator or you can get a spark plug wire kit and make your own and put it whereever you want!

Just did my coil packs. I know that feeling g when it suddenly pulls and drives smoooothly! 😂. P.s with of patience, you can switch out coil packs without the stripping.

Seems the project took a turn for the better after Taco Bell. Coincidence? I don’t think so.
