Need more of these collaborations. Great discussion. Had a listen on my way to work. It's like a program on a local radio, only actually good and interesting :)

As pure MTBer, I watch TdF every year. And this year is awesome, I love it. Seriously best TdF in many years.

Do you ride road bikes and follow road racing? Or only care about mountain bikes? Let us know what you think!

That was an excellent discussion, more of this sort of thing. I love the idea of the all round cyclist, especially given that in my twenties I did ride road bikes, cyclocross and MTB. Being a generalist gives so many great skills that the specialists miss out on.

Great work Neil and Si, and very clean audio here GMBN! As more of a GCN viewer with occasional GMBN viewing, I would love to listen and subscribe to a GCN podcast.

TDF is perfect for afternoon nap and spot occasional good landscape heli shot.

Jan Frodeno went a bit too fast into a curve at one point during the ironman Frankfurt bike portion a few weeks ago, but had the presence of mind to just let it go and recovered without falling off or anything bad happening - just lost his speed and that's it. Someone less used to "offroading" could've easily fallen off their bike and potentially injured themselves. Definitely a skill all enthusiastic bike riders should train to some degree, just how much depends on how serious you are and often you need that skill. ;)

Great show. I often mention to people about the skill of minimising brake use in cycling and motorbiking and car driving. MTB such brill way of increasing flow, elegance and all bike-handling skills. I did most of my Fred Whitton trg on MTB also..
Perhaps a multi-event over weekend involving GCN and GMTBN? Thanks
