Nino Schurter grew up in a small Romansh-speaking mountain village in the Val Lumnezia, Graubünden. He spent a great deal of time outdoors with his parents and two elder siblings. Mountain biking was particularly fascinating for them and they developed a great passion for such a fun style of riding. Since then, Nino has won so many titles, it’s almost hard to count them all. Some of them consist of winning Gold in the Rio Olympics, being World Champion ten times over, and being the World Cup Overall Champ eight times.

In this episode, Nino and DZ chat about growing up biking with his family, how Nino got into flying helicopters, how he uses other activities to fit into his training, and his involvement in SolidarMed.
