Wow, thanks Nate. Knew the dewclaws sometimes needed trimming but an attack with digital dermatitis was unexpected and that one was moving into big trouble range.

You threw me with the copper sulfate. I was expecting salicylic acid.

Get a big container of solid, dry copper sulfate and a boiling pot of water, preferably distilled, and dissolve the copper sulfate in the hot water until nothing dissolves anymore and then tie a rock or even a small piece of copper sulfate if you have any left to a string and have it suspended in the solution. You can grow a beautiful blue large crystal once the solution has cooled.
