In this cinematic video I'll be going over the history of the first ever MacBook Pro; why it was flawed and why it was so significant! The 2006 MacBook Pro is the laptop that started it all!

Hooray another video!

Also, like a week ago I picked this broken rMBP [15" Late 2013, Stock IG config, MacBookPro11, 2] for $150, It's a risk for me to take, but nothing that Isopropyl Alcohol can't fix, It was water damaged but I scrubbed it enough to fire it up and run something on it. So advice to anyone who want to step in this world: just keep an eye out for the deals, because you can get lucky.

The best thing about the macbook is its design which has aged well since the first macbook which looks pretty modern in design.

Always a fan of ur vids Luke. ❤Tho I must say, even when the main point of your video is “don’t buy this Apple product”, your b-roll of the product is so good that I end up having to buy it anyway it just looks so good 😂 so that’s the one downside. But heck it’s a great downside to have!

Man this OG Mac started it all i own the late 2008 MacBook Pro 15 inch model which is unfortunately stuck on 10.11.6 El Capitan which debuted in 2015 but it’s a great machine and I love it I’ve had it since 2015 3 years and yes the speakers are starting to go out but I still love my old Mac with its CD slot Drive in 15 inch display I just got a new charger just got a new charger for it last month Great video thou

I remember back when this was launched and I never really saw it as all that significant. It felt more a long the lines of a transitional product even at the time and much like the iMac was only really an evolution of the Power PC products offered at the time. Not to mention they continued to sell the 17 and 12 inch Powerbooks along side it in part because Final Cut Studio along with some other pro apps didn't yet run on intel chips. I actually think the real shift in the MacBook pro came in 2008 when they introduced the Unibody design. When they did that it made the old design seem a lot more dated since the new design had a much more solid feel to it and no more latches either.

My wife has a 2007 that recently had a new battery, and i found able to run el capitain! It had a new video chip 4 years ago. As the 2011 i'm using now.
I think all the trouble started when she started using them for lessons with a video projector. They are both 15 inch. The 13 inchs one thta i bought in 2010 never had a problem. As the titamium 2001 .

I don’t get it. Aside from the name and Intel inside, what makes the MacBook Pro significantly different from the PowerBook? Would you argue that the Intel iMac was a total replacement of the G5?
