The German tech tree in War Thunder has a plethora of vicious tank destroyers to choose from, but the Waffentrager certainly isn't vicious at all. It's a lot like the Tiger II, it even has the same cannon, but it is outright worse in every other way. Gaijin could put it at 4.7 and it still wouldn't be good.

12:30 the little plane thing shows up when a teammate does the "Air alert!" Thing in radio (T-6-1 by default iirc). If they do that while looking in the direction of the plane, it'll show their bearing and estimated altitude in chat, as well as show up on everyone's compass for a bit.

Attempt number 28 at getting Spookston to play any tank with a dozer blade, the catch is, he has to dig in before engaging targets. Movement around the map is allowed, but he has to dig in again before reengaging.

13:55 it always amazes me, when I find a good ambush spot how the enemy tanks will keep coming right into my firing line without a care in the world, while the field they are driving on is littered with burning wrecks of their teammates.

let's just say that you see bloodstains in a From Software game and you know something is going to happen at that spot, but War Thunder players see destroyed tanks and think they are merely part of the scenery.

If you use a rangefinder or spot command on an enemy tank that your crew "sees, " they will shout out an approximate range of the tank. This will be in the crew's language, so setting crews to speak the game's selected language is helpful. "Sees" is defined with the crew's view distance, which may not activate on spot/rangefinder. If an allied crew is close enough, with a strong enough radio distance, or if the enemy tank is spotted, this will usually count as well. Basically, similar rules to seeing enemies in AGB. Really helpful if you need to approximate the range of the enemy tank.
The crew will usually shout "[type of tank]. [angle]. Range: [distance]". "Type of tank" is usually "Tank" for many light, medium, and heavies, "Armored car" for armored cars, "SAM" for tank destroyers despite that being a missile not a tank, "SPAA" for SPAA, and the specific type of tank for a few tanks, like leopard, tiger, and a few others. Angle is in clock angles, so "3 o'clock" at right, 6 for behind, etc.. Distance is a multiple of 50 up to a certain range, than multiple of 100's of meters.
Edit: The plane icon is when people use the radio chat functions to call out where a plane is. They say the angle and height of the plane, along with the icon appearing on the compass.
