I remember watching this in the theater when it came out. That whole theater about died with laughter. It lasted several minutes until everyone was ready to pass out and the scene finally ended. Good times. lol

What makes it even funnier is everyone’s reaction. Of course the loud fart will get a bit of a laugh but everyone’s disgust faces is what makes this scene funnier.

This was my favorite scene. "Sorry I'm just a guy", but the reaction of his crewmates was classic, especially rudderman Jackson who shoved tissue up his nostrils, and covered his mouth, and then suggesting to his CO that "somebody needs to sew his ass shut". The one thing you have to remember about farting while inside a sub, under water, is that there is no place for it to escape.
