These are actually great for someone who has Parkinson's or a similar kind of motor skill disease, because the person doesn't have to worry about the difficulty of tying laces. Just slide in your foot, push the button, and you're good to go. If these ever become affordable, I could see elderly people in general being the biggest consumers of this type of shoe.

My dad had parkinson's, for 25 years. i also grew up with Michael J. Fox on TV. Video hits home in so many ways. Its awesome how something we take for granted can be such a cool thing for people struggling with this disease.

I remember a couple years ago I did a project for school where we had to talk about a foundation and explain it's mission and it's creation and as a big fan of Michael J. Fox I chose The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. During the presentation we had to also come up with some sort of way to also raise awareness and funds and I suggested selling actual self-lacing Nike Mags on October 21st 2015. My teacher laughed and said it'd never happen. Well they sort of did that a couple years ago only they weren't self lacing. Anyway, I'm in awe well to see something I imagined happening right before my eyes. This is awesome to see.
