The whole point to be your own bank is so your crypto is decentralized and safe in your own hands. This defeats the purpose of a Ledger and you might as well just keep your crypto on centralized exchange.

I get that we need to be sceptical but I don't think we should get too high on our horses. There still needs to be multiple custody solutions for the masses. Name another affordable and not too complicated solution ?

Kind of a cluster f*k by Ledger. My keys are on Ledger. Has me thinking of Tangem. The thing about private keys is in principle if you have them and the algorithm if you lose the hardware you can reconstruct. Losing a Tangem "credit card" you are hosed. Really hard to find a safe place to keep your cold storage wallet. Safety deposit boxes require a faithful bank. No real solution.
