Hahaha, this is about you

Beware, beware, be skeptical
Of their smiles, their smiles of plated gold
Deceit so natural
But a wolf in sheep's clothing is more than a warning

Baa baa, black sheep, have you any soul?
No sir, by the way, what the hell are morals?
Jack be nimble, Jack be quick
Jill's a little whore, and her alibis are dirty tricks

So could you
Tell me how you're sleeping easy
How you're only thinking of yourself
Show me how you justify
Telling all your lies like second nature
Listen, mark my words, one day (one day)
You will pay, you will pay
Karma's gonna come collect your debt

Aware, aware, you stalk your prey
With criminal mentality
You sink your teeth into the people you depend on
Infecting everyone, you're quite the problem

Fee-fi-fo-fum, you better run and hide
I smell the blood of a petty little coward
Jack be lethal, Jack be slick
Jill will leave you lonely, dying in a filthy ditch

So could you
Tell me how you're sleeping easy
How you're only thinking of yourself
Show me how you justify
Telling all your lies like second nature
Listen, mark my words, one day (one day)
You will pay, you will pay
Karma's gonna come collect your debt

Maybe you'll change
Abandon all your wicked ways
Make amends and start anew again
Maybe you'll see
All the wrongs you did to me
And start all over, start all over again

Who am I kidding?
Now, let's not get overzealous here
You've always been a huge piece of shit
If I could kill you, I would
But it's frowned upon in all fifty states
Having said that, burn in hell, yeah

Oh, oh, oh
So tell me how you're sleeping easy
How you're only thinking of yourself
Show me how you justify
Telling all your lies like second nature
Listen, mark my words, one day (one day)
You will pay, you will pay
Karma's gonna come collect your debt

Karma's gonna come collect your debt
Karma's gonna come collect your debt

you can't tell me this wouldn't be a really good musical or broadway play song

I’d listen to this shit 24/7 when I was in middle school and accidentally subconsciously memorized the whole song 😃

these type of songs hit different when you have someone in mind as your singing it

This song has perfected the lyrics, instruments, edgyness, and everything that a teenager going through a phase needs

I imagine this song being in a musical. It would be sung by the main character after they have enough of their lying, manipulative friend/SO/parent, and finally snap and call them out on their bullshit.

It's kind of scary how obsessed I was over this song when I was way little. I'd listen to it so much, I wasn't even really good at english so far (I'm not a native speaker), but even so I memorized this word by word, Right now I just remembered this song existed and started singing a few lines naturally- The song is just that good

Ahhh, this song reminds me of the good ol’ days.

Now that I’m older, I can actually appreciate how great these kinds of songs are beyond the edgy nature!

A person who didn't hear this before, but instantly loved it was a quiet kid-

Ah... my "I'm so edgy and no one understands me" phase... good ol' memories

I love the rhythm of the lyrics. IDK much about anything, but I swear there's some sort of stress-unstressed pattern going on that makes the lyrics sound and feel good

it really hits different when you know a person like that in real life.

I listened to this in middle school, now in highschool I find that there are still people in my life I could sing this to, this song is timeless

Ok but the usage of nursery rhymes for some of the lyrics in this song is iconic ngl
