Something Is Terribly Wrong With Voyager Probe 14 Billion Miles Away.
NASA's Voyager 1 and 2 are running out of power. The two probes were launched in 1977 and have kept pushing the limits of space research ever since. The distance these probes have traveled from the planet Earth—further than anything ever made by humans—cannot be overstated. As a result, these explorers will probably continue to retain the record for the farthest human-made object for many years, if not a century.

These probes were originally intended to function for 5 years, but have lasted 45 years. We have gotten far more from these probes than was ever intended. Nothing that happens to them at this point is terrible.

Such a lonely voyage for these two. Floating into the endless void.

Imagine an electronic equipment manufactured in 1977 is still working in 2022!

I am totally amazed the probes have only 14wt transmitters. That's crazy. I have a 80wt boot in my car. It's not imaginable to me they can reach earth with 14wt of power.

I want the team who built these to make me a freakin' car and a smartphone that lasts more than a few years.

I'm amazed they have lasted as long as they have!

What is Terribly Wrong With Voyager? Sounds like it just keeps on going.

The Voyager probes won't be considered to be in pristine interstellar space until they have passed through the Oort cloud, It will take another 300 years to reach the Oort cloud and about another 30, 000 years to pass through and the next star that it will pass closest to at 1.7 light years will be another 40, 000 years, unless there is some unforeseen collision, Voyager 1 will be destined to wander the Cosmos for all of eternity. 📡 🌌 👍

It is not floating, but moving very fast. The journey is where no craft has ever gone before. Interesting indeed!

What if it goes to another star and gets solar charge and sends back data again from alfa centaury

I truly LOVE how it's not 100% impossible for the movie, "Star Trek: the Motion Picture, " to actually still happen. Go, Vyger, Go!
Before you out yourself as a "stuffed-shirt expert" please know;
1. It's close enough to Voyager 6, let it go.
2. Granted, there's a better chance of politicians becoming honest or monkey's flying from my butt.
And 3. Where I come from crazy is a compliment.
This is for that 0.00- a googleplex of 0's -01%, NOT mathematically impossible, chance that it's more probable than impossible. Let the dreamers dream. As it should be

I always wondered if the aliens would have a record player.
