I am an adult with autism who also sometimes needs scripts, and I do the happy flappy stimming when I get excited! I'm glad we get to talk about autism on this channel!

I, too, use scripting to express my thoughts and feelings; I never knew it was called that until watching this video.

I use two types:
1. Phrases and text from memes, as well as quotes from visual media works and trends (which are sometimes also memes).
2. Gestures associated with trends or memes.

The “everything I say is in context with my surroundings” principle applies to this, too. Sure, I will sometimes say a quote because I think it’s funny, but I will typically strategically place it in dialog because it is the best set of words and/or gestures that I have to represents how I feel or what I have to say in that moment.

Such a cutie! I'm 38 and I do all these things, but instead of flapping my hands I jump with joy

This video was so loud compared 2 the others my speakers blew out. I love the message tho and anyone who wants a fresh perspective on autism should watch.

I may be on the spectrum or near the spectrum but I flap my hands and slap myself on the thigh (yes..self harm stimming-) and it doesn't hurt that bad but being near or on the spectrum can be bad at points.
