Inkscape tutorial path effect equal space objects circle clock speedometer. So many inquiries for the last graphic I did a long time ago. I have some improvements. We will use stitch sub paths to create an object around an object such as in a clock, or dashboard odometer, speedometer, gas meter etc.

I've actually had a few people inquire as to design for this type of graphic. Usually it is for animation. This isn't my favorite type of work. It is usually for a dashboard for robotics, aviation, simulations mostly. The work involves putting everything on a separate layer, designs be certain size, specs, ratio to background etc. Needles need to be pointed up. You can see how it begins to be fussy rather than creative.

As usual, great video. Now I watch your videos one after another and really help me a lot.

The verbal explanation is helpful, much better than videos with just music for audio. How did you get the dashes to not show up for the whole circle on some of the gauges? Thanks!

How the description of this function is related to the output (although it does exactly what is needed)? How 2 "non touching" paths can be stitched? I am used to stitch 2 touching lines or surfaces in CAD but here it seems to me a very surprising function. I was expecting some function as "rotate around a point"...

Very much helpful than the previous gauge's video

3:35 just some feedback. WHile its a tutorial to do something specific, theres value in demoing it, so in this case, just doing and changing the size to demonstrate, adds little time but a lot of value
