noah them 3d images of your friend actually look really good, i loved the depth of field they kind of had too, really stood out. i mean for me yes there are apps that can do gif but the nashika camera by what you have shown is still ok for a bit of fun with family & friends. ideally if someone was to buy one & use some of the modern & incorporate some of the older vintage retro classical photography techniques it would be another world to explore & create. i really enjoy your videos & once again always find something interesting to know/learn

Great video! I think your critiques of the camera are perfectly fair, and while it is extremely gimmicky (its basically a toy camera), I feel like its resurgence makes it incredibly unique. The GIF effect is in my opinion a really cool look and it's not something you can recreate with any apps. I mean the effect sure, but its still not film. I feel like while yeah, the camera and the effect can tend to be overly hyped, on the other side, it tends to be overly criticized.

I was given a Nishika as a gift from my best friend. I had it for close to 10 years before I actually used it. On my camera i have to press the back of the camera against the film sprocket to have it advance correctly. I learned that the hard way on my first roll. Haha

There is actually a kickstarter called the Reto 3D started with the intention of building an affordable film lenticular camera. It has a built in flash and is alot more compact. Only 3 lenses and uses 1.5 exposures. I hopped on early and will be getting mine next month. Hopefully it's a decent product 🤷‍♀️

my dad had one of these when they first came out. You need to show some of the actual prints. I thought they were pretty cool at the time.

Fantastic production! Enjoyed checking out the background on your set and identifying the various cameras you've got (not to mention the yards of vinyl). Thanks - just subscribed. When the Nishika first hit the market, some folks sold it Mary Kay-style, door to door. The late 1980s retail price was close to $300 as I recall.

Btw, what are differences between n8000 and n9000 besides the design? And which one is better?

What do you mean the old method achieved "some kind of effect"? Pick up any genuine Lestrade stereoscope with some cards for it and I guarantee they look stunning and were shot with the right equipment.
