This is the best way to seal in pavers. Had to learn this the hard way.. had to come back a year later to a big natural blue stone patio i built and rework the whole outside. Was a nightmare. I did this to fix it, filled it in with dirt and planted grass around it. Looks good now.

Nice, standards where I’m from require the haunching to go 90mm under the paver also, there’s no support on them end pavers if you don’t, one car tyre and some rain that’s all going to sink

Those 45 degree toes always fail. Lift the last course up and remove base and replace with concrete. Vertical toe. Keeps the pavers from walking
