jQuery UI Datepicker: How to Format Selected Date in jQuery UI Datepicker

By default, the date selected in jQuery UI datepicker is displayed in the mm/dd/yy format. That is, if you select 25th April 2015, it will be displayed as 04/25/2015. What if you want to display the selected date in another format? You can use the dateFormat option to change the displayed format. You can try different combinations of possible date, month, year, day of the year, month of the year and day of the week formats to display the selected date in the format you want.
