This literally happened to me. I’m half Arab & half Jamaican, so I’m naturally hairy. I got a package for full face laser with the Yag laser. All my hair came back and thicker. I have a full beard now that I have to frequently shave, pluck & at home ipl to keep under semi-control. I hate it. I’ve done electrolysis as well! It still came back. I think I may also have PCOS that’s causing it.

Yup. That happened to me. I got laser hair removal on my face and my facial hair did not only came back completely in some areas like my chin it came back dark and thick, which I didn’t have before.. it’s frustrating

I have had this happen to me and I am neither a man nor middle eastern, but a greek woman. Thank God for electrolysis, it cleared up the mess, and now nobody can believe that there was a point where I had to wax my entire face and neck, from the eyes to the collar bone almost!

If you’re black, make sure they do a little patch test. Some dermatologists don’t know how to laser dark skin, they leave burns and scars

Finally someone told it.. I live in Greece.. I'm a dermatologist as well and I tell clients all the time why is better not to have laser hair removal and they do it anyway somewhere else. Somewhere else they see you as a wallet not a person and of course they'll tell you you can do it.. You can but the risks are higher..

I really wish I heard this earlier, I am west Asian, and struggling with hitrusim - it isn't genetic and non of my family struggle with this. I am currently getting laser hair removal on my face and underarms but it is not doing anything for my face! I've spent so much. I was told laser would be great for pale skin and dark hair but not for me so far even after 8 sessions at a certified clinic! I am considering electrolysis but I'm a bit scared. Shaving, waxing and threading just causes more problems and is expensive long term - I am only good with threading my brows, no irritation there

I just got my 13th laser hair removal treatment and the results have been getting worse; the hair seems to be growing back faster and thicker than before. This is unfortunately a common occurrence and should be talked about more.

Yes. I got a beard after laser hair removal. They weren't supposed to remove anything under my neck... I had no hair there. They did it anyway as an "upgrade" and now I get hair under my neck every other day! 😕
I'm not from the middle east though.
