Great review Sam! I just took delivery (last Monday) of a fully loaded 2022 GV70 3.5T Sport Prestige. I hope you’ll have an opportunity to review this vehicle in the near future. I too was annoyed with auto zoom feature on the navigation screen - until I found out that you can disable that feature completely. Problem solved - no more annoying zoom in/zoom out of the screen.

I saw your review on Mercedes GLE AMG 63 coupe and now this with the GV80.

I am thinking of having one of these two.

What I hate about the genesis GV80 is:
1- The price considering it is a new brand especially this is their 1st SUV.
2- The place of that big screen, far away from the driver.
3- No USB type C.
4- Full consumption ( even with the smaller engine)
5- Fake engine sounds.

What I hate about the Mercedes:
1- Very high base cost.
2- Maintenance cost.
3- Full consumption (can be solved with the 53)

When I floor it, it usually seems slower than a gradual-but-quick throttle application.

I like the interior color but with the white exterior instead.

I agree that I like a shift lever but that is way better than Mercedes shifter up like windshield wiper. I have the GV70 and I'm already used to it.

Not needing all the seats, I'd go for the GV70. Similar luxury, bit more sporty and $12-13k cheaper. But really ugly wheels on some trims.
