Genesis, as a brand, has only been around since 2017, but of course Hyundai's push to move upmarket started long before then. And over the last 4-years, Genesis has slowly but surely expanded their lineup. But with one big exception, no SUV. Well, it’s here, it’s the GV80, and it delivers everything we’ve come to expect from Hyundai and Genesis.

The 3D instrument cluster is in higher trim levels, you had the base unit.

The V80 got style and quality, quite impressive. The stacked bar lights is a very strong design. The shape of this SUV looks fast even when it is parked. Genesis is giving the German and American luxe vehicles a run for their money

A lot of facts wrong in this review. The "3D cluster" that was knocked was actually the base-trim cluster and not the fully-virtual one that is 3D. This car does not have that option.

Yeah, definitely it's an attractive SUV with an even more attractive entry level price. Then consider maintenance costs and replacement parts and the usual players in this segment should definitely be worried.

The 3D instrument cluster is a full-screen LCD screen which is not standard on the model that you guys are test driving. it's an optional upgrade.

Beautiful inside and out. Definitely a step up in interior design and quality compared to let's say Cadillac. Some may say well it doesn't have the screen witin the screen design, but its still nice. Cadillac was and is still charging alot of money for their cars and none of them can beat this interior at the price point.

I’m guessing Hyundai-Kia wrote a bland cheque to develop the Genesis brand. And it clearly shows. New platform built from the ground up. No front-wheel drive platform sharing from Hyundai-Kia. Only rear-wheel drive to let the designers have a good platform to work on their designs. You can tell by how the wheels are pushed to the corners, especially the front. Dash-to-axle ratio so good that it puts Bentley, Audi, and Porsche to shame with their crossovers.
