Seeing percy jackson first made me smile so hard. Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The heroes of Olympus and the Trials of Apollo are such great books!I high recommend to young and old alike.

Honest age ratings

Percy Jackson: It's a kids' series. Pretty much anyone 8 or over can read it, as there is no profanity or spice or innuendo, though of course it has romance and kissing, also very little gore, but there is blood and death and injuries. It touches on some slightly dark subjects, but never goes into detail.

The Cruel Prince: For the first book, there is only some uncomfortable scenes, like when Jude strips in front of people under the influence of Faerie fruit, and a descriptive, passionate kiss. There is also gore, violence and suggestive things, but nothing too horrible, and the kiss is easy to skip. The second book, however, does have a spicy scene, but it can be skipped too. For the first book, a mature 11-12 year old could read it, but for the whole series, I'd say a mature 12 year old and older who understands things like spice and violence.

I immediately knew the first one was Percy Jackson because it was used more than the others. You can just tell by how weathered the pages are.

Even though i love PJO, it is a childerens series. Yes teens can 100% read and enjoy it, but it is written for childeren.
