After 118 years of being in service, it's time to bid farewell to the original New Lenox Metra station built by the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad back in 1900. This scene will be very different without this favorite landmark among railfans. Earlier this year, a bid was won to build a new station along with a CVS Pharmacy store adjacent to it. The good news is, it's not being demolished! It's being moved to a farm in nearby Homer Glen. The station is now closed as of April 23, 2018 and still, at the time of this upload, it has not disappeared yet. Enjoy
