In fifth grade my mom was having lung cancer from both lungs removed and had to stay in Mayo Clinic for two weeks. My dad took us to Disney (mom wanted her parents with her, it wasn’t convenient to stay in the hospital across the country for two weeks with two kids, my dad didn’t just abandon her they had a convo about this 🤚) and when someone at Disney found out about what was going on they upgraded us from a little best western into the Contemporary Resort for free and gave us fast passes and a chauffeur for the week. It was an incredible experience and really helped my dad, brother, and I not be so anxious and upset about what was happening.
Edit: they didn’t remove her lungs, she removed cancer from both lungs. My mom still has two lungs 😂

For Disney trips our family LOVES the grand Floridian. It’s prob one of my favorites and the club floor is AMAZING

out of all my years of going to disney, my favorite resort was always the new orleans french quarter! You can take a boat ride to disney springs and buy beignets in the main area!

if i ever go to Disneyland, i’m 10000% staying in Art of Animation! the areas looked incredible and i’m a huge art and bts fan so seeing all of the sketches and whatnot would be super neat!!

Old Key West!!!! My favorite place to be in the world aside from my home. It doesn't get a lot of love because it is laid out different from any other resort, and it's the oldest DVC resort. But it's got everything I could ever want in a vacation home.

pop century is by far my favorite. it’s affordable has access to skyliner and busses. and it’s closer to other hotels like caribbean beach and rivera and ofc art of animation which is connected to pop. actually storytime art of animation was gonna be an expansion to pop century with more decades like the 2000s but they changed their minds during construction that art of animation would have been a better idea and it was!! the theming is incredible

Could you do these in CA next? Planning a trip for the end of next year. I'm having a hard time choosing what hotel would be best. We'd prefer to stay on the Disney grounds, but heard of a few nice accommodations off site. Any recommendations are welcome! 🙏 We have a party of 5 for the first group and a party of 3-4 for the second family joining us.
