Recently opened a chase account mainly for the 1% cashback and also the 5% saver. I use it like a pre paid card, Im liking the app and features compared to my main bank Halifax, I think these online banks are leaps ahead of the high street banks with there features but im reluctant to make it my main bank account.

Chase really is a great spending account.. But I'd be reluctant to make it my only account.. Due to the fact that you can't deposit cash or cheques into it.. I know the latter is not common these days but still possible to receive them. They also don't provide overdrafts or joint accounts.

That won't bother everyone, but it's just my opinion.

re chase cashback, are you sure that new customers don't have to deposit 1500 every month? I'm in my first year with Chase and I'm pretty sure it said I had to deposit 1500 every month right from the off. didn't know I had a year to not comply with that requirement
