They had influence but not on political area, they had influence as supporters to their husbands, the haseki sultanas, the valide sultanas, to their brothers, nephews, and also with the charities they had established.
For example:the husband of Hatice Sultan(daughter of Selim I and Hafsa Sultan)was one of the main reason why Selim I ascended the throne, the husband of Shah Sultan(daughter of Mehmed III and Halime Sultan)was one of the main reasons for the second enthronement of Mustafa I, the husband of Hanzade Sultan(daughter of Ahmed I and Kosem Sultan)was the main reason that Murad IV ascended the throne, and also even if it's disputed the first husband of Nergisshah Sultan-Bosnak Ahmed Pasa was supporter of Sehzade Mustafa.
