While living in France ( im a california girl) i meet a guy who straight up assumed I would just give him money because he said " but you have access to other things that i don't, you guys got it". I was not only disrespected but floored by his assumption Americans are suppose to give them something no matter what soil we are on

Because of the cold front affecting south Texas, less law breakers are crossing illegally. As soon as the water of the Rio Grande River warms up you will have 10, 000 illegals crossing again. We see it everyday in these border towns.

It's incredibly sad how out of control illegal immigration is in this country. Contrary to what the media wants you to think or what warped perception politicians have of illegal immigration, the overwhelming majority of these migrants are NOT asylum seekers, they are economic migrants, coming from very poor countries, looking for work, or a better life. As a human being, you want to help of course, but the majority do not speak English, are unskilled labor workers, have limited to no education and are poor, requiring some kind of Government assistance which ultimately falls on the American taxpayer. What this looks like in the U.S. right now is that many are being housed in hotels, or are taking vital resources away from homeless American citizens, or simply relying on are healthcare system to provide them with medical treatment.

Furthermore, it should concern every American that all of these people are unvetted. With "catch and release" they are released into the U.S. told to report to an immigration office, but roughly 75-85% completely disappear and will never show up for processing or a court date. If this is the trajectory you want America to continue to follow, it will inevitably lead to catastrophe, collapse, or just hard working Americans footing more and more bills for illegal immigrants to be taken care of, or all of the above.
