The same thing happened to my family. I adopted a friends dog who was a PittyX who she was forced to adopt out. The dog was a saint and a complete gentleman who watched over my ailing father who was terminally ill during his final days. It’s as if he knew, and was always there at the foot of my dad’s bed every evening when I got home. He was such a good boy when we needed him most.
