(btw - I think it would help people new to PBR/Unity to also explain the difference between a diffuse and an albedo map)

just a small correction, on a PBR workflow, the color map is not a diffuse map, is an albedo map, and that difference is one of the biggest problems that people have when they try to understand PBR, you are not dealing with the old diffuse+specular setup, this is a completely different story.

Can you make tutorial about - how to use this texture packer tool as it is absolutely not clear how to combine these textures in Mask map for Unity. Plus in Github you provide source code without explanation how to apply that source code in usable way. Or please make detailed video about how to pack those RGB ALPHA in Photoshop properly in slower manner - it was too fast.

If you want more 3D like experiences use pbr but you will need training if you wanna master full pbr or develop a big game with pbr. I’m sure not even fortnite has pbr or else it will be in settings
