I think the initial outside touch before the Cruyff turn is underrated when it comes to its importance for the success of this trick. The little outside touch forces your opponent to take the bait, creating the very space for you to turn into. Without this bait, and if you do this trick too often, opponents would simply wait for you to drag the ball back before snatching it from you, where you can't do anything about it because you're in an awkward position momentarily. Nonetheless, this is still a pretty nifty trick where timing is crucial. Cheers!
