I've found a really good play that when someone is trying to pickaxe or attack your wall, you actually pump your own wall early and then can make a edit and It throws of the opponent really bad giving you a free kill

Btw at 4:00 you talked about going to the left felt quicker in your opinion, its not just an opinion. I can't remember the guys Youtube channel but he did an in-depth view at Fortnite and found that due to the in game 3rd person viewing is to the right of the player, we need to look slightly to the left to utilize our max range for building. Hence why building to the left is better, also when tarping in endgame it is best to tarp building the left wall and then the right wall as you can place the left wall before you could place the right wall. Its funny because it is a really simple game mechanic but I myself never knew about it until this year.

3:29 You said there's no science behind you pre boxing the left side but based on where the stair you're stood on is facing it wouldn't make sense to try and jump up and pre box the right side. So from the other players perspective you would want to go to the opposite side of where the persons stair is facing.
