Just had cataract sugery on my right, I love my new IOL Toric eyhance by JJ, my Vision was 20/100 ! They kept me nearsighted because I’ve been nearsighted for 40 years, I love wearing cool driving glasses ! In 71 by the way ! I will have my other eye done next year ! My left is 20/40, I’m waiting because to rule out any complications that can show up after cataract sugery ¥

I got the multi focus lens and driving at night is something I was never comfortable with. The headlights have a halo almost spider web affect now but otherwise I couldn't be happier and more pleased. Best decision I made having this done

Recently had cataract surgery done. I had the dropless cataract surgery done and I chose a monofocal lens set for distance to be implanted. No regrets and my sight is just fine. Just need glasses to read small/fine print. I have 20/15 vision in my right eye and 20/13 in my left eye. Bottom line I'm grateful to have my sight again. Anyway, I appreciate your videos. Take care and good luck to everyone.

I like the monofocal lens I chose for my right eye, and it's what I'll choose for my left eye in December.

I am more looking for more descriptive discussion that includes sizes of fonts at different distances and practical events such as tv watching . Street views book reading. Laptop use. Etc etc The discussions on what to expect are far too generlized. Please give many more examples.

My doctor really didnt explain the different options. I said I didnt want to wear glasses. So he recommeded the Panoptic which was 4000 dollars each eye. But never told me other options felt really rushed . Decided against multifocal cause not sure if I can handle the halos that may occur. I think I wanna stay with Monofocal but have astigmaism so not sure how that is gonna turn out if anyone had monofocal with a astigmaism please let me know your results.

Hi doctor, please I feel devastated. I'm 40 and I did a trifocal lenses surgery before 5 days to get rid of large myopia and slight hypermetropia with slight Astigmatism in both eyes according to my doctor advice. Unfortunately, my measures show hypermetropia by 1.25 after the procedure and I found my self in serious need for reading glasses! Please help me, should I ask to replace the lenses or what

Hello Doctor,
My mom is getting cataract surgery. Is it possible to get monofocals then at a later point get lasik surgery ? I am worried that the improvements with multi focals will not be enough or she will get bad glare. Do patients have better vision with LASIK or Multificals usually ? Thanks for your help

Why is macular degeneration not a good candidate for multi focal lenses?

The best lens is the one you can afford. Multifocal lens cost 789 dollars above what insurance pays, per eye.

I had monofocal lens implant. I wanted the sharpest and best contrast distance vision. My intermediate vision is great too. Only about 1.5 ft away does it gradually get blurry and reading glasses are needed. No glasses needed for driving and can use cell phone. Not super sharp but usable. The problem with multifocals is loss of dim light vision as you get older and halos when night driving. Night driving (age 72) is great. Very bright and sharp. Those who have multifocals may not know what they're missing. There is a price to pay for giving up readers.

For me it was the Monofocal lens, I need the nighttime driving and I do not mind reading glasses. Also, Multifocals were quoted to me as $4, 000.00 a piece.
