Finding Derivative with Definition of Derivative Calculus 1 AB

I work through two examples of finding the derivative of a function using the Definition of Derivatives.

Some teachers have an amazing knack for turning something abstract into something we can all see. I think it is a combination of communication skills, visual, verbal and conceptual. This gentleman has it! I can't tell you how many times I tried to grasp the real concept of the derivative of a function. It is finally in my brain. Now I am anxious to learn integration, instead of dreading it. Just thanks.

I don't know what to say. I was doing derivatives, a unit we just started today. I have been slacking off and finding myself like a failure in life to be honest. When I can't understand anything, LIKE ANYTHING, I just come to your videos and bam, everything makes sense. My teacher is good but she expects us to know everything. It's nice to be able to rewind your lecture once my mind starts to wander. I don't have that option in class. Watching your videos really strengthens my overall confidence in my ability to do high level math. Math can be so intimidating. I have to take 3 semesters of college calc with analytic geometry, differential equations, elementary linear algebra, and discrete structures ahead of me before I graduate spring '17.. Doesn't seem so impossible with the foundation you have to offer.
