I love this fight so much. At this point, Gaster has lost everything. He is 100% convinced that Papyrus is going to die as well. And he has had enough. He has been trapped in a soundless, personless, dark, void for years, he has nearly died at least 3 times. He has watched his son, one of the single most important people in the world to him, die over and over and over again. He has worked tirelessly towards an unobtainable goal, desperate for results he knew he wouldn’t get anyways. He canonically DIDINT SLEEP FOR THE ENTIRETY OF SEASON 2. And he watches Sans die *again*. Permanently this time. And he snaps. He doesn’t care about his survival anymore. He doesn’t care if he lives or dies here. He just wants to make Betty suffer the way he’s suffured, the way Sans suffered. And I think that the music and the scene and the symbolism of the glass breaking is just so good!! All in all, Cami is an artistic and musical genius and I love this series so much (especially Gaster).

Gaster is one of the most Patient Characters you have ever seen… seeing someone you care about dying is already able to make you insane, But seeing your SON die TWICE, I just have one to say…

Losing a battle against a villain.
Because of that battle your assistant dies.
You made lot of mistakes.
After a while you explode casue of wrong things you made in past.
This scene is my favorite in Ep.8 I'm still opening often and watching again.

I love this moment, usually the evil badguy who we want to suffer for what they've done gets it easy, but not here, no gaster shows her no mercy, and don't lie, it felt good, we wanted to do this to her ever since her first murder, it feels good to let betty get what she deserved, normally I prefer villains with interesting motives or backstories but betty is a hate able villain who just works, she makes you hate her as much as possible and then we get this moment as a pay off

The scene was build to perfection. One failure after another, all were a chain reaction from the single action of a creature, Bette Noire, but now the chain that contained a monster even stronger than anything she could imagine broke and was thirsty for revenge and her blood. And boy he got it. Gaster's breaking point is of the best scenes I've ever seen in ANY animated series, including animes.

You better be ready for concequences....
Because you have a chance of creating somethings horrible....
Something that you cannot stop by any means...
And it wont stop until it thinks "justice" has been brought to you...
Dont poke someone's inner demons...
Especially if this someone is quiet and patient...
You never know what may come out and it would be better for you to not find out at all...

between Gasters first battle with Bette and his last, you notice he moves a lot in their first battle, something his own father told him could get him killed, and then in the next battle he doesn't move an inch from where he plants his feet.
