I'm imaginining a Toy Story character, a bear of some sort who was stuffed with this method. It would have a very strong smoker's voice.

Is it just me or India is home to many interesting recycling ideas (and they actually do it)? Plastic brick, edible spoons, home walls by plastic bottles & this one.

2) water and land pollution through the residue
3) cancer and lung diseases to smoker ( including passive smoker )
4) affects foetus of organisms
5) DEFINITELY DOESN'T LOOK COOL

This is an amazing idea. However when it comes to marketability, I think many parents would have a mental block when told that the fillings were originally from cigarette butts. The mosquito repellent is something that will probably do really well.!!

That's why they call him 'smokey the bear.'

Ideally, it would be better if everyone was cleaning up after themselves

I though they separate the paper and cotton automatically, but it's all manual.
That's such a tedious job for a probably minimum wage pay.

Local government in India should fund this small business that promotes sustainable consumption and production. Support these kind of ventures. ❤️

It scares me now to think that if these chemicals were leaching out of the butts, what was being drawn into my lungs with the smoke. I remained ignorant on purpose so I didnt know that answer. This makes me glad I stopped smoking about 5 months ago. I'm not adding to future woes and I'm no longer adding to the problem.

Once I was at a house my dad owned and the tenants there littered cigarettes and I put them all in one pile blocking the path to the house so the tenants would see the mess they created.

I wonder how they remove the toxic chemicals from the cotton before stuffing a teddybear with it, and after that, where do these chemicals that have been extracted go? Can they be further recycled or at least be safely disposed of?
