Hi Brent, a quick question concerning ISO:
I watched a video in which it is said that high ISO degrades dynamic range. Is that true? If it is, can you please explain how? I guess that is because high ISO introduces a lot of noise into photos. Noise obscures details and dynamic range is all about details between shadows and highlights. But that's just my guess.

I know about digital photography and am able to take photos and videos in various levels of light. I wanted finally to understand why it's better to use a wide shutter setting instead of very high iso in low light. Why does it become grainy at high iso values? I am just curious about what's going on in the camera, like what is the sensor doing to be more sensitive? Maybe I need to know what the sensor really is. I know what it effectively is but not exactly what it is physically.
