Scout the area you are flying first and foremost. I lost my Air 2s on my summer vacation because I didn’t. My fault completely. I didn’t know what to set my altitude at beforehand because I had never flown at this location before and had my altitude set at a safe altitude where I live. I crashed my drone into a tree on the side of a mountain. I didn’t even have a chance to recover my drone. I still have no idea if my drone is still in the tree or on the ground because it wasn’t reachable from my location. An expensive and unfortunate life lesson.

Rob, yesterday I attended CES here in Las Vegas. Regarding an Insta360 product, I have info of a newer version of their popular product but I don't want to share it at this time with everyone. Can you provide a more secure/private way of messaging you.

Don’t rely on obstacle avoidance at all in the winter or autumn around bushes or trees. They have no foliage on them so it’s extremely hard for the drone to acknowledge the thin branches and twigs.

My min4 pro also recently crashed between trees. The battery was low and when returning to Home, for some reason it started landing at the wrong place (above a tree) and seeing as it is winter and there was no leave on the branches, it landed there in between the trees. I was unable to climb up to retrieved it but luckily we had some strong wind, which blew it down overnight 😅 lucky me eh. Safe to say no damage to the drone. 😊
