My sister lost her home there a little over 20 years ago and is now being evacuated again. I saw online last night that some people were confused as to whether they were part of the warnings--that's awful!

My deep gratitude and prayers to the bave firefighters!

Delawarean here. Know that I'm praying for all those in SoCal who are in peril from this fire. So sorry you all have to endure these so often.

If you live in a fire fire area or even if you dont, trim trees away from your roof. Clear weeds and brush a min of 30 feet away from structures.

Remember how all the insurance companies dropped fire policies right before this? Excellent timing

Once a fire starts and it starts getting close to you, there's no need to be told to evacuate.
Just leave on your own, your life is worth more than anything material you possess.
Everyone be safe and careful out there.

I live in one of the potential evacuation zones, & I've already loaded up our car with the important stuff for when we might have to leave. This is terrifying. I haven't slept all night. Running Springs is only 14 miles away from me.

35, 000 structures. California fire insurance, home insurance, companies are already bailing on California. Plus we spend large sums of money on electricity, gasoline, diesel, solar cells for new homes....all to minimize California's CO2 negated by these brush fires. Fire prevention needs a BIG increase in state priorities.

I used to fight California fires as an inmate. I got paid $1 per hr. to fight those fires. As soon as we got to a fire we'd work for 24 hrs straight no breaks. That was one of the most dangerous jobs I've ever held at $1 per hr. Don't forget to thank a inmate for fighting those fires. After all they do all manual labor meanwhile the regular fire fighters did the easy job by staying out of the way.

I live in San Diego county, they spend $500, 000 for security protection for county supervisor instead of spending on fire equipments and hire more fire fighters, she should tough it out, if she can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen.

When native Americans were allowed to do controlled burns, this wasn’t a problem bc they burned brush back to prevent wildfires. When California outlawed that practice, it created danger for all the residents there.

This fire is HUGE! We are in Hesperia north of this fire and on the other side of these mountains. Since Friday we’ve been getting smoke from this horrible fire! We have closed everything down and have kept indoors. Running our pool filter 24/7 because the ashes are everywhere here too. Hopefully our firefighters 🚒 will be able to control the fire soon. They are doing the hardest work we can imagine. God bless everyone involved in this situation. ❤

Wish we could give them some of our rain here in Florida. We've gotten buckets.

Love Northern California, but it is now time to consider creating significant fire breaks that will control the fuel availability.
