I like your point at 4:16 especially. So often we're talking about capitalism and I'll make a point about how wage labour is bad, and they'll be like "oh, why don't you start your own business then?" And it just completely misses the point because its such an individualized mindset accepts the current framework as legitimate. Which I believe is a mistake.

Hi there! I would be very interested to see a 101 video on Identity Politics. It's a much-discussed political issue at the moment, but most of the content on it seems to come from alt-right sources. A less reactionary take on a very relevant and controversial issue would do a world of good.

An answer on the violence part. There probably should be a distinction between what kind of options you are limiting. Limiting options which involve yourself like saying no to something or denying to be someone's slave (to take it to the extreme) shouldn't be considered violence whereas limiting a person's options which don't involve you and only concern them like attacking their sexuality, or life etc should be considered violence.

In response to Lumimyrsky I would've said that not serving a person's interest is not an act of violence towards them. In that scenario, they haven't inhibited your freedom of choice, they've suggested that you re-select them. And yes, you do have the freedom to ignore the suggestion, but there are ethical considerations to make with respect to an idividual's decision to intercourt, so to speak, with another person and perhaps more relevantly, they're basically just not permitting you to enact a type of violence, in its own right, against them.

Hey Olly, with tons of videos that cover economics and politics. Did you study philosophy combined with either politics or economics, or did you just read books on politics and economics? Also in hindsight if your study of philosophy wasn't joined with another discipline would have you preferred to?
