I did this and my dad gets notifications when I change the MAC address, it says a new pc has joined the network

Easier method: Go into your network settings (not control panel) and go into properties, MAC is the same as Hardware Adresses, so turn random hardware adresses on, and then just simply rejoin the wifi.

Thank you so much, sometimes I forget about homework due at midnight but my parents block the wifi on my computer after 9pm. They don't listen ("You deserve to fail if you're so last minute!") because they care less about school than I do. This has literally saved my grade several times.

for you too get "network address" you have to be directly connected via cable to the router, otherwise it won't show up (btw it works if it is connected to the router, tried it 10 min ago)

ATTENTION! For people who dont have the network address setting there should be another setting called Locally Administered Address which does the same thing. At least it did for me
