Easy peasy pale ale with some leftover hops, based on the Coopers Australian Pale Ale kit. In this one I do a hop steep (some call it making "hop tea") which just means throwing them in water that has just been taken off the boil for 30 minutes.

1.7 kg Coopers Australian Pale Ale kit
1.0 kg light dry malt extract
250 g medium crystal malt
25g Amarillo steeped for 30 mins
25g Citra steeped for 30 mins

Love your videos! Super helpful for a newbie home brewer like myself. What was the ABV for this one? I only have a 12 L FV so was thinking of halving the recipe. But if I still used a full 1.7kg Coopers APA kit do you think that would still work out alright, just with a higher ABV?

What size is that tub you sanitize in? Seems like a perfect size to get the job done without wasting too much sanitizer

I was looking forward to the blender and DME bit :) Why don't you use your crown for all your boiling.

Love the channel! I'm going to try Mangrove Jack's (Brewer's Series) NZ Pale Ale with 1kg DME, 250g medium crystal & Motueka hops. Do you think 50g steeped for 30min and 50g dry hopped would be excessive?

Hmm, was going to make the golden ale with 25g Amarillo boiled for 10 minutes and 25g Amarillo dry hopped. As Amarillo is the only hop I have right now do you think I could just go ahead and make this one or would 2 different hops be the preference?
