I've noticed that dry hopped beer has a better aroma but has to be drunk fresh. I now add hops at flameout and hold at 75°C for an hour which makes the hop flavour last longer in the bottle. It also ready to drink quicker than dry hopped beer. A tea bag left in hot water for an hour adds much more flavour than a tea bag added for a short time. That's the principal I working by.

Good to see the old home brew setup back in action, a nice simple pale ale that should blow out the cobwebs and get it all dialled in, will be useful for test batches when HB gets up and running. Thanks for the recipe Harry m8. Cheers.

Nice, wish I could brew this weekend but at least we got our CO2 bottle filled up. Planning to keg our latest stout. Great seeing you have so much fun being face caked by the little one. Those chickens are going to love you for sure.

And now to start converting all the measurements to something I can understand, lol. Thanks for sharing. I’ve got a brew in the fermenter now and if it turns out as good as I hope I’ll send the recipe your way. Cheers

I'm glad you slowed that sparge down 'cause as soon as I saw it I thought "that's a little fast" 😮 . 12:23 aaarrrgghhh, nakedness! 😄 . I thought the recipe might produce a higher ABV, I usually get that sort of potential ABV on 3.5k of pale malt but I usually mash for 90min, perhaps that makes the difference? Great update as usual. Cheers, Schnuz.

Love the music as usual, little billy joel mash up. How long did you sparge? That brew looked and sounds delicious. Suns Out Breads Out happens to me when it gets hot out. Cheers

Great vid as always. Question... with that few of hops and US05 do you expect a sweeter beer?

I've been reading some of the low oxygen cult stuff, they often blame oxidation on copper. But then you have urquell that uses copper tanks, so who knows. Then again copper can scrubs out sulfur, this I learned from the moonshine guys, and lager strains can produce tons of sulfurs.
