Thank you guys who pointed this out to me but it turns out Genshin videos are littered with countless ads for these 3rd party vendors / "cheap gems" - if you ever see any of these ads please ignore them, if you would like to go a little further please report them too. I'm sorry I missed this completely. I have YT premium so I don't see any ads and was completely unaware to this poor YT advertising, so shoutout to everyone that raised this point!

The twitter user is actually a working adult and they already paid off the negative primogems to avoid getting banned. But I agree that they shouldn't get anymore backlash since they've fully acknowledged that this is 100% their own fault and is not even blaming Mihoyo for this.

not to be "that" guy, but this is why kids need to listen to people who've actually played gachas. Gacha games are not just casual mobile games, they're SLOT MACHINES that gives you characters instead of more money. If you still think long time veteran gacha gamers and whales are just financially unstable nerds who don't plan out their spendings and income then you are dead wrong.

If you put money on this game, you are now considered gambling and you have to follow the rules, accordingly:
1. Do it with the money you have/willing to spend
2. Know when to quit
3. ALWAYS follow house rules

Gacha games, like gambling, have to be viewed as an “entertainment” expense. If you would rather spend $20 of your spending money on Genshin than go to a movie or something equivalent, be my guest so long as you are financially able. But you wouldn’t go into debt to see a movie. So don’t go into debt on gacha or gambling. Don’t spend outside your budget and you will be just fine.

And those on Twitter running the "I haven't done anything wrong!! miHoYo bad!!" When this happens to them, asking for sympathy and putting the blame on miHoYo... I mean how gullible are those people having access to money for gacha games to begin with? Glad you are educating people over this. I've lost the patience the moment victims are shifting the blame on miHoYo as if they weren't aware this was like cheating in the first place lol. 🤦‍♀️

Edit: while we're at it I went to check the tweet itself and read everything, she's not a teenager. She's working and have savings. Also in the thread itself there's a deleted tweet where the person actually gave advices of what to check when buying from 3rd parties so you'll excuse me but serves her right. Encouraging people to break the law and steal money, nah, she doesn't deserve my sympathy for this
