The Taste Master SA: Episode 13 | Full Episode

After showing off their versatility in the hors d'oeuvres challenge, the top 3 take on their final bake, a showstopper wedding cake. After baking their sponges in the Taste Master kitchen, they must assemble and decorate their masterpieces on location, at a beautiful estate in the Cape Winelands.

Max is a fighter. What I love about her is her courage and bravity. Lesego, you're good girl... A professional in the making dont be too sad that you're not the winner, you won already. Molly, you're young but you dared it, bravo girl.

Not gonna lie, I was pulling for Lesego, but Max is super fearless, and it's the fearless that usually come out on top. Happy for her, extremely pleased with the final 3!

Well, I was a bit shocked but not really shocked that Max won. I believe Lesego would have took it if she would've done a bit more flavor wise by being more creative with different flavors instead of just traditional combinations. Barely using any of her "amazing" lemon curd hurt her and even though her chocolate raspberry filling was also fabulous and those are "awesome" flavor combinations, it was a bit too safe for the finale. Last week I'd said I hope she stepped it up with more creative flavors but unfortunately she didn't and Max pulled it off. Molly being so young really shined, she has a lot of time to build her amazing talent in the years to come. These people and judges look for more sophisticated flavor profiles and Max was always experimenting with multiple spices etc and even though her work was usually messy and chaotic, those flavor combinations stood out. Her raw center made her fill the inside cake and that saved her huge debacle even when the Rose overtook the blueberry flavor but her coconut lime cake looked delicious. So sorry for Lesego and Molly too but congrats to Max. At least when Max is on the morning show, through the magic of tv and the food preparers, they'll make sure everything is looking neat and organized...something she definitely struggles with. This was a great 2023 season, can't wait for the next one!

I just love this show!! I'm sad it is over for now. Can't wait for the next season. Kudos to these wonderful judges; always so supportive and encouraging even in their critiques they find something positive to say. Great final 3 and congratulations to Max!! Well done.

What a season, The Taste Master has become a part of my life. It's a bittersweet moment. So happy for Max, she deserves the win and both Molly and Lesego have done a sterling job. Girlpower!!!

This was another tear jerker for me! I'm sure there wasn't a dry eye on the set. Max always did THE MOST in each challenge and she is definitely a deserving winner. All of the ladies will have their space in entertainment baking that's for sure. All of the cakes looked so beautiful and my goodness, I know there are some very proud parents and relatives celebrating today!
