Dylan was right at the end. KFC is crazy popular, specifically in mainland China. From my last visit to the mainland, the restaurant's popularity is because there's no competition. They really don't have any other fried chicken locations other than local shops and some other places... Also, there's way more quality insurance and whatnot, so the food is very good... I live in Hong Kong, and this is entirely based on my visits to Hangzhou, Shenzhen, and Shanghai, so please let me know if you have other thoughts or...whatever (⁠ノ⁠ಠ⁠益⁠ಠ⁠)⁠ノ

Fun fact: Harland Sanders opened a gas station that he served his chicken from, not a cafe/motel, that came AFTER he opened the gas station.
